Our new apartment with a full four burner stove and oven, a big double sink in the kitchen, lots of cabinet space and counter room, a big fridge/freezer, all in a big room that's a kitchen/dining room, plus a hallway with lots of storage space with a nice little bedroom and a big closet off to one side, and a full bathroom toilet, vanity with mirror, medicine cabinet and sink, and full bathtub plus shower is almost ready. The entire apartment is being remodeled top to bottom, and we've got our own front lawn and porch to sit on! This will be the first time I've had more than 2 rooms in an apartment, a bathtub, a yard and porch, been able to barbecue, etc. since November of 2012!
Just another week or two for them to finish the flooring and put finishing touches and cleaning, then I can give it a final once over and clean it to military spick and span and spotless, and then move in! The only furniture I'm really missing still is a box spring for a full size mattress...
Then more good news! Back in October 28th of 2016, my Hepatitis C Viral Load was 5,499,000 IU/mL (5 and 1/2 million international units of the hepatitis C virus in each 1 milliliter (mL) of my blood)....
Now, my lab work from February 2, 2017 has come back and my viral load is all the way down to the minimum detectable range ! It is now at <15 IU/mL (but detected) which means while the Hep C Virus is still detected in my blood, the viral amount is less than 15 units per mL so it's very low.... and I still have at least 2 more weeks of treatment and I believe my next test in a few weeks will be <15 IU/mL (and undetected) - which means no Hepatitis C virus detectable in my blood stream!
I will be free of Hepatitis C! Thanks to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Clinic, our Lord Jesus, the intercession of Saint Marie of the Incarnation, Saint Elmo of Formia, and Venerable Matthew Talbot and to the prayers of all my friends and family and to the blessings of modern medicine!
Now onto the article I wrote about atheism!
So I stumbled upon an article written by a genius which suggest smart people are generally atheists, and that when ones IQ reaches genius levels of about 150 or higher, religious beliefs decline.
In todays society where godlessness is rampant and religion misunderstood, where atheistic naturalism is considered "progressive", this misguided belief is understandable.
But let me correct this persons erroneous logic with a short history lesson of the most intelligent minds to ever walk this planet.
There are only two people who have been universally accepted as having had an IQ over 200. There are different IQ tests and different people will score differently on each, but IQ is generally accepted as being a good indicator of intellectual aptitude.
So who are these two geniuses who everyone agrees had an IQ over 200?
The most well known, and my personal favorite, is the original Renaissance Man, the 15th century Italian polymath who was an artist, sculptor, iconographer, mathematician, theologian, philosopher, geologist, inventor, architect, astronomer, botanist, musician, historian and cartographer.... among many other things.
This man is the utterly devout Catholic Christian, who made Confession and Received Viaticum just prior to death, the great Leonardo da Vinci.
Leonardo da Vinci is one of two universally accepted to have had an IQ over 200, with ranges between 200 and 220.
Who is the other man universally accepted as having an IQ over 200 and Leonardo's only serious competitor for the title "most intelligent person ever to walk Earth?
He was a German statesman, writer and freethinker and scientist who lived in the not so distant 18th and 19th centuries.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, with an IQ estimated between 210 and 225 is the only other person in history who can truly give Leo a run for his money in the realm of the intelligent mind.
Johann was at times a devout Protestant Lutheran Christian, he once called Christianity the ultimate religion, and he went to his eternal rest in 1832 still believing in God, sympathizing with an ancient Jewish sect and the person of Jesus Christ among other nuanced beliefs.
The third example I will give is a man who lived in our own day, who people alive today may have met in person, a German born Jew who lived in the 19th and into the mid 20th century. This man was a brilliant theoretical physicist, and is the first person most people think of when they hear "high IQ" or "genius". This man devised the famous equation, E equals MC squared... his IQ is estimated to between 160 at least, and 220 at most.
Albert Einstein was no atheist. Now, to be sure, he was no devout Christian or Jew either. I would classify him as a Jewish Deist with Christian sympathies, who loved the Christian Gospels and Jesus of Nazareth, always respected his Jewish heritage, had great relations with people of all religious beliefs, and left this earth holding to a firm belief in a Creator Deity. He may have doubted if he would continue to be after death, but I am sure now he knows so much more than he imagined in his physical temporal life.
So we see that, in my opinion, top three most brilliant geniuses to ever walk this earth, Johann Goethe, Leonardo da Vinci, and Albert Einstein were all far from atheists. One was a Lutheran Christian with later esoteric Judeo-Christian belief, another was a devout, orthodox, traditional Roman Catholic Christian, and another was a culturally Jewish Deist with Judeo-Christian sympathies, a love for Jesus of Nazareth, and a respect for all believers and non believers.
Yet time and space does not permit me to speak of the dozens upon dozens of other past and present geniuses, some with estimated IQs ranging from 190 into the 200 -205 range such as the devout Protestant Christians Sir Isaac Newton and James Maxwell.
Time does not permit me to dwell on the brave genius Galileo Galilei, a devout Roman Catholic Christian with an IQ between 180 and 200, or the eccentric genius who may possibly be the only person with an IQ of 300, Nikola Tesla, who was raised in the Serbian Orthodox Catholic Christian Church by his Priest father, who later in life fell away from orthodox belief and hope of an afterlife, but had immense respect for religion, especially Buddhism and Christianity, and who remained sympathetic to God and never renounced his faith. And had Nikola Tesla accepted Einstein's Theory of Relativity, and the implications it led to - the Big Bang Theory formulated by a high IQ Catholic Priest Father George Lemaitre, there's a good chance Nikola would have reverted to Serbian Orthodoxy, or at least Einstein and Spinoza's Deism.
Because if the Universe truly began to exist 13.8 billion years ago, than Teslas belief that the Universe was eternal - a belief called pantheism, then the only logical conclusion would be to believe in an omnipotent Deity.
The reason many scientists ignore this now is because of a bogus, unproven, and in my opinion irrational belief in a "multiverse". I believe there is one and only one Universe, and empirical evidence demands that the only rational belief is to believe this Universe came into being 13.8 billion years ago from a singularity which could only exist in an eternal being.
And believers in the multiverse also tend to believe in the many worlds theory, saying there are many worlds like ours in this massive universe and intelligent biological life is common.
Again I say, horse rubbish. I believe in the rare earth hypothesis, I believe Earth is the one and only planet in the entire universe with intelligent, physical, biological life.
It is possible, but i believe highly improbable (and as yet empirically unproven) that even unintelligent biological life exists outside earth - let alone E.T.s
Now think of the implications of these two facts: if the Universe is the one and only physical Universe which came into being 13.8 billion years ago, and in that entire massive Universe with all its precise chemistry and laws, and in that one universe and on one single planet, Earth, all conditions are perfect for the evolution of intelligent life...
Well, what do you think the implications are?
I believe the man-God Christ Jesus of Nazareth, the Word made flesh with an IQ of a googol times infinity, seeing as He Is Omniscient, created this one Universe for his one species of physical beings made in his image to dwell on the Earth and probe the depths of creation and the glory of God.
I will wager with the high IQ mathematician and theologian Blaise Pascal, the inventor of calculus Sir Isaac Newton, along with Leonardo da Vinci, St. Thomas Aquinas, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, and every single Pope and every single President of the United States have believed:
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of the Bible, Jesus Christ the Lord, created this universe, and us humans, in his own image, while the singularity was an eternal spark in the Mind of the Omnipotent God the Word spoke and the spark boomed with the power of God, exploding a universe into existence with more force than a trillion Tsar Bombas, and that He being the Sovereign Master, led our solar system to form some 4.6 billion years ago, our Earth formed in his Almighty Hands about 4.54 billion years ago, the Lord of Life sprung life from this earth 4 billion years ago, caused modern physical life forms to boom into existence some 541 million years ago in the Cambrian Explosion.
Then the Master caused hominids to be prepared to be endowed with his Divine Image some 3 million years ago, formed the anatomically modern homo sapiens about 100,000 years ago, and crowned his glorious creation about 10,000 years before today with the creation of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, which I believe spanned a massive geological area from the Nile in the West, the Tigris and Euphrates in the center, and the Indus in the east. Coincidentally it was these river areas first spawned civilized societies - the Egyptians on the Nile, Sumerians in Mesopotamia (the traditional cradle of civilization and site of Eden), and the Indus Valley people. And civilization spawned by Adam and Eve around 8,000 B.C. spread further east with the Yellow River and Yangtze River peoples birthing the Xia and Chinese people, thence civilization descended from Adam covered the globe.
And God did all this in a single 7 day work week!
